Sell an item using the packed client item identifier.

Implementation: Implemented.

Syntax

/sell_to_merchant <packed_item_id> <quantity>

Arguments

Position is zero-based in sep, after a registered database subcommand has been removed. Internal action tokens remain at position 0. Angle brackets are required; square brackets are optional. Alternative forms may change field meanings.

Position Argument Accepted value / type Meaning
0 packed_item_id 64-bit integer Low 32 bits are the master item ID; high 32 bits are the unique item ID.
1 quantity integer Quantity to sell; clamped to the available stack by SellItem.

Behavior and restrictions

  • Requires an active merchant that buys items and accepts the player’s merchant level. Bank/house-vault items, equipped or locked items, no-value items and nonempty bags are rejected by Client::SellItem.
  • A zero unique ID resolves by master item ID; when unique-ID lookup fails the helper falls back to a master-ID lookup.

Current argument/client/target checks (exact source excerpts; branch-dependent):

if(sep && sep->arg[1][0] && sep->IsNumber(0) && sep->IsNumber(1)){

Permissions

The dispatcher checks the resolved registration status before invoking the handler. In-handler guild, group, ownership, client-version and target checks still apply.

Examples

The syntax forms above are the source-based invocation examples. Replace identifiers with values valid for your world; client callback fields are supplied by the game client.
